Now offering Summer 2017 Courses led by Bryce Ballew!

For Summer 2017, Tradecraft Industries is excited to announce a two-course special series on developing a successful construction business. 

First, students will learn the in’s and out’s of starting their company, from legal details to payroll management, and get a sense of what it takes to run a successful construction business. In conjunction with the bootstrap intro class, students will learn about estimating jobs and “the art of betting without seeing the cards” with coverage of Divisions 1-16. The two class series is offered as a package for anyone interested in or already a part of the construction industry.

The package costs $375 and includes a complimentary 3 month membership to Tradecraft giving you the tools to succeed in the class and help you build your network!

Class Details

Bootstrap Business Intro Class (May 19th – July 14th) , Fridays (5pm-7pm):

This class is intended to take an individual through the basics and intermediate levels of business formation, management, legal, accounting, taxes, payroll, and project management. By the time you complete the program, you will have formed your LLC, opened a business checking account, written your company contracts and have learned the business basics to manage the office side of a construction company. Estimating Class (May 20th – July 29th), Saturday (9am – 12pm):

Estimating is “the art of betting without seeing the cards”. This class will cover the old school Divisions 1-16 from the ground up. We will dive into the materials and methods that build through plan reading, quantity take-offs, bid review, clarifications (inclusions/exclusions) and in-depth knowledge of how different trades and scopes of work interrelate to create complete projects. This class curriculum is intended for those with beginning to intermediate construction experience in the field. It is intended to provide an overview of the various trades and methods of estimation and bidding required to assemble a complete project. Learn to estimate like a pro. Register below!
